From Cravings to Creation: How Primee Was Born
The idea of Primee took root back in 2021, during my time at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), where I was exploring the intersection of technology, creativity, and human experience.
Having just moved from India, I often found myself missing home-cooked meals. Between long classes, tight deadlines, and an endless stream of pizza slices, one realization hit me — convenience had replaced connection.
That’s when I began building a knowledge base of over 14,000 dishes, each tagged with ingredients, preparation styles, and user ratings — the early foundation for a digital companion that could make food discovery personal again.
And so, Primee was born — a smart, conversational, and humorous AI designed to help users explore dishes based on mood, ingredients on hand, or even those random cravings that strike out of nowhere.

Primee isn’t just an app or a tool; it’s a culinary companion that brings joy and connection back to dining.

For me, it’s not just about recipes — it’s about rediscovering taste, culture, and emotion through technology.
My Journey — From Retail Innovation to Culinary AI
Before Primee, my entrepreneurial path began with Tresor Systems, a retail technology company that I lead as Managing Director.
From starting my career at PC Visor to forming joint ventures with global technology brands, my journey has always revolved around curiosity, creativity, and purpose-driven innovation. Under my leadership, Tresor grew from a modest $1 million venture to over $75 million in revenue by FY19–20, expanding across 30 cities in India — and set to reach 35 by 2026.
My belief has always been simple: technology should serve emotion, not replace it.
That belief led to the creation of Café Tresor — an experience where hospitality met automation. And now, it’s what drives Primee — where artificial intelligence meets the art of flavor.

Primee is more than a project; it’s the next chapter in my ongoing mission to merge innovation, customer experience, and human connection.
